how to update/ revise a listing?

Hello,

I am a new user to AW. How do I update a listing made with AW? By update, I mean, I have an existing ebaylisting created by AW, but I want to modify the pics and description. I have not been able to figure out how to upload the updated listing...

Thanks,
Robert

Robert,

Welcome to AW2000. It is a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for participating on the discussion boards too.

The changes cannot be uploaded until the lot is relisted. YOu can certainly use the "Edit" listing on eBay to modify the listing.

What changes did you want to make to the pictures, ?

I might suggest that you consider using the Preview template feature to see how the Auction lot will look once listed. That way you can make changes prior to listing. Or even just rearrange the order of the images if you prefer.

does that help?

Hi Judy, thanks for the reply. Aparently your are the biggest voice of AW2000! New question- can listing info made with aw2000 be updated, like price? without logging onto ebay?

Also, what is error api 37? where can I find info on these error codes?

Robert

Well I would not say I am exactly the biggest voice I am only around 90 pounds or so most the time

Okay I'll be serious.

Listing information cannot be updated after the Auction lot is listed without going into the Edit mode on eBay. You can certainly change the price etc on the Auction lot (except do not change images while listing is live or images will disappear on eBay) and the changes will of course post the next time the Auction lot is listed.

The 37 error most likely means you have failed to complete a field that needs a value. Like a shipping option field may be missing. or a category field isn't complete. There isn't a "list". API error codes sometimes need tech support to resolve.

If you want to "see" what is missing the open up the Failedlots notepad or warnings returned.. Find the Lot number and then check AW2000 to see what is missing.

did the Auction lot list?

If you cannot locate the Auction lot and determine what field is missing, then contacting AW2000 tech support is the best option

Does that help?

That does help, thanks! Your keystrokes are loud and clear! :)

I wasn't able to post the listing- after seeing your reply I looked again very carefully and realized I had international shipping checked, and did not have any further info for it. So, unchecked, and listed!

Hopefully within a couple more listings I'll have this program mostly figured out- I really was impressed how quick I was able to integrate photos and used the templates, as well as edit them!

The next phase will be getting some sales with aw2k and learning the invoice and shipping aids...

Rob :)

Rob,

Excellent,, I am glad that helped.

I might suggest if you are not making use of the Inventory Items module, that you consider doing so. Even if all you have are onsies.

There are certain reports and functions that do not work unless an Inventory Item exists for the Auction lot. For example, storage location printing on packing or pull slips. No inventory item, no storage location will be available.

and some reports are not available unless the InventoryItems module has been used.

The invoicing and backend functions of AW2000 are easy to use and quite strong. Feature rich. If you have an email address for someone, you can create an Invoice and add invoice items to the buyer's hearts content. (which I love. We get lots of add-on sales as well as buyers emailing us to purchase stuff..)

Please do not hesitate to ask questions. Someone will drop by and answer them.
