Had lightning take out the power supply on my old computer and damaged the Window program. I moved the hard drive to another computer. After trying a number of options, I had to reinstall Windows (Windows 2000 sp4). With other (less valuable) programs, I was able to reload / reinstall the programs so Windows knew where they were and all worked well. I haven't tried anything with AW2K other than trying to open the program. Got an error message, "An error occured while attempting to initialize the Borland Database Engine (error $2108)."
All the data appears to be on the disk. If I download a copy of AW2K over the top of my current copy, will that restore the info Window needs without changing the data or my user status? (I've been using the program for Years...) I didn't want to try without advise from folks here, since restoring my last backup would cause a small loss of data.

Sheila,
Download a copy of AW2000 from the AW2000 website into the root of the C drive. Right where the installer says to install it. That should reinstall the missing BDE and get you up and running without any data loss.

Judy,
Thanks for the info. Worked like a charm and all data secure. I thought that was all that was necessary, but I didn't want to try without a second vote. LOL I appreciate the re-assurance.
