Can't backup data
|

|
Back to another problem with backups. I'm on my second new computer in 3 weeks. The opther one crashed 3 times in 5 days. Best Buy gave me a new one. The last time it crashed is because I was trying to install a Window 7 driver for my Zebra printer. Even had Stamps.com helping me.
Anyway, now that I have restored my data on AuctionWizard 2000, I want to back it up. When I go to backup, I only get to go to the C: drive and then the AuctionWizard program closes. Do I have to backup to an external drive?
I hope I get all the bugs worked out of this.

Sorry I can't help with the problem with AW2000 itself, but I did get my zebra thermal printer installed with windows 7 with some help from this webpage http://newsletter.solutionsgem.com/2010/02/05/zebra-printer-step-by-step-instruction-to-set-it-up-with-paypal-shipping-services.aspx
I know that the firmware also has to be uptodate on the printer itself or problems will result. Maybe you have already solved this problem though.

Hi Wilma..
Wow, that is a lot of crashing around your house!
When the backup utility opens, the box that shows the C drive,, is actually a drop down. Click it and you can select another spot to send the backup to.. So if you want it to go to the External drive, just choose the letter for the drive.. H or G or whatever it is..
AW2000 will not be running when a backup is running.. To initiate the backup go to Start > programs > Aw2000 > Backup..
The backup utility opens and choose where to sent backup..

Thank you for your help. That was information for Windows XP and Windows 7 is entirely different, but do appreciate you trying to help me. I did finally get the Zebra printer installed, but don't ask me how. I had earlier installed Window 7 software from Seagull and it must have been on my hard drive and I just told the "add printer" to use that file. Anyway, it is working with Stamps.com now. The only thing it kicks out two labels, one with the address and the other one is blank. I'll have to do some checking on what to do next. Thanks for being so willing to help.
